We are pleased to announce that we can offer login integration – single sign-on (SSO) on Rapport3 with Office 365, Microsoft azure AD, and google accounts. What is SSO? The SSO term has been getting lots of widespread adoption with most major web sites starting to utilise it as a popular and easier alternative to log in to major applications. SSO is simply designed to address insecure login practices whilst at the same time, allow you to access multiple applications in a much-simplified way. This means, as a Rapport user, you can navigate to your Rapport site, and then use Microsoft/google account to login through to Rapport. Some of the benefits of using SSO for Rapport3:
- You don’t have to manage as many passwords.
- Users can be enabled or disabled in one central place.
- SSO offers a better user experience, staff don’t have to remember as many passwords.
- Staff can easily change or reset their password.
- A Password reset policy can be enforced on the google or office 365 account, meaning staff can be forced to change their passwords in accordance with company policy.
- If you wish to, there is an option to turn on 2-factor authentication on google or office/azure too for an extra layer of security.
