This is FaulknerBrowns' fourth time winning the award, which honours overall design excellence and suitability for purpose across a body of retail and leisure projects. The community projects they submitted this year for evaluation underline the requirement for more inclusive, accessible, and sustainable public recreation facilities. FaulknerBrowns has been a Rapport3 client to manage and streamline their projects since 2007. FaulknerBrowns uses our project management, HR and CRM modules. We are so glad to be a part of their success journey.
FaulknerBrowns won the award of the Retail and Leisure Architect of the Year for three of their projects. First one being, a stacked structure with a view of Shoreditch Park, the recently finished Britannia Leisure Centre in Hackney offers inclusive programming and accessible facilities. Britannia has improved local involvement in sports, swimming, and fitness by more than 160% helping to build a sense of community.
Secondly, the current Grade II listed Kingston Library and Museum will be joined by new recreational facilities, play spaces, and a public café at the Kingston Community Center, which just obtained planning approval.
Last but not least, their community project in Woolwich will combine the renovation of an existing community theatre and arts venue with the addition of numerous new health and leisure facilities in the town centre.
