National Apprenticeship Week

National Apprenticeship Week in the United Kingdom is an annual event held in February to celebrate and raise awareness of apprenticeships as a valuable route into work and to promote the benefits they bring to both individuals and businesses. During the week, a range of activities take place across the country, including open days, exhibitions, and events that provide opportunities for young people to find out about apprenticeships and talk to employers and apprentices about their experiences. National Apprenticeship Week is an initiative of the UK government, supported by employers, training providers, and other organizations. 

Cubic Interactive has taken on 13 apprentices with VQ Solutions over the past 6 years, 12 of whom have progressed into varied roles such as Project Management, Software Development, Business Intelligence, and IT infrastructure roles within Cubic. 

Diogo Silva joined is a core part of our team and now he successfully progressed into project management. Here is what he had to say about his experience with Cubic Interactive. 

"Since taking on an apprenticeship with Cubic, I've gained a wealth of experience ranging from commercial conversations with our clients to the technical nitty gritty of the day to day running of our Rapport 3 software.” 

“For the past 3 years, it's been great progressing through the company; starting off in the support team helping our clients with their day to day running of the system. To moving into the operation team as a Project Manager, again helping our clients but this time with the set-up of the system!”
