Farrells London adopted Rapport3 in 2017, introducing our main Project Costing module and our HR module. Farrells London Associate Partner, Lauren Sandy, explained that their previous processes had been slightly disjointed, with information in numerous different places which made it difficult to find what they needed. They were keeping financial information in spreadsheets and different pieces of software, which meant that job runners didn't easily know where their project sat financially.

Each practice can choose to display only the information they find beneficial, which Farrells were pleased with. As their spokesperson explained, We were able to adjust the software and put our own fields in there so that we could search for previous projects when bidding for new projects. For example, we could search for residential projects with a specific number of units, or projects in specific locations. So we now have an easily accessible database for current and previous projects, which helps with bidding.” 


When the pandemic struck and remote working became necessary, Rapport3 helped Farrells dramatically with team communication. They already had servers in place to cope with the transition, but being able to easily see key project and staff information without going to someone in the office was extremely helpful: “Communication isn’t easy when working remotely,” their spokesperson said, “So seeing financial information at the touch of a button is good.” 


She explained that projects and processes likely would have taken a lot longer if Rapport3 hadn’t been in place and it would have been more difficult to see how they were doing financially. Not being able to easily see what the income from billing would be for the next few months would be an issue, as Farrells would have been unable to make appropriate resource decisions.
